This particular sculpture, The Alligator, was designed by James Houston in the 1970s. The design number is 82259. The crystal clear piece exhibits a 10″ long curled alligator with open mouth and applied eyes and appendages with controlled bubbles. The underside is etched in script ‘Steuben’. Its body measures 3 1/4″ in width and its body with its tale measures about 5 1/2″ in width and 3 1/2″ in height. It weighs about 3 pounds, 10 ounces. The glass is in Excellent condition with very light scratches and scuffs on its underside from shelf wear.
